The Tar Heels challenged Miami for 28 minutes Saturday in the Orange Bowl but let a deadly interception-to-TD turn of events change momentum at the end of the first half. Then a blown assignment allowed a Hurricane runner to spring a 62-yard score and the lead became essentially insurmountable as the Tar Heels dropped a 27-7 decision. (Tar Heel Blue)
