Dance over: Butler overrun by UNC in Sweet 16
Posted Mar 24, 2017
North Carolina did to the Butler Bulldogs what the Dawgs have often done to others in NCAA tournaments: Shoot them out of the gym. UNC began 6-of-7 from the 3-point line, built a 20-point lead in the first half and went on to win 92-80 Friday night in a South Regional semifinal at FedExForum. No. 4 seed Butler ended a surprise Sweet 16 season with a 25-9 record.
