Tar Heels' top tackler likely out for season

Thought it couldn't get any worse for North Carolina's 1-5 football team? Try this on for size: Linebacker Larry Edwards, probably the Tar Heels' most indispensable defensive starter, is likely out for the season after suffering a broken left collarbone Saturday. The injury occurred in warm-ups, before the Heels' 37-20 loss to visiting South Florida.
