Four players scored in double figures to lead No. 18 NC State to an 80-60 victory over North Carolina Thursday at Reynolds Coliseum. Jamie Cherry scored a game-high 25 points to pace UNC. Paris Kea added 14. In the first meeting of the season between the two schools, an 83-70 UNC win in Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels tied a school record with 14 three-pointers.
