At least three members of North Carolina's 2007 football recruiting class are standing firm in their commitments after the firing of Coach John Bunting. Jonathan Smith, a linebacker prospect from Durham, and Jay Wooten, a kicker from Laurinburg, intend to play for UNC if the next coach wants them. Dwight Jones, a receiver from Burlington, said that he would still play in Chapel Hill despite Bunting's dismissal.
