For a Pitt team mired in a six-game losing streak, progress and hope should be valued, particularly when it comes on the road against a top-15 opponent. Unfortunately for the Panthers, such signs of encouragement don't always end with a win. Guard Cameron Johnson matched a career-high with 24 points, but Pitt fell, 80-78, to No. 12 North Carolina.
