2017 UNC football opponent California announces Justin Wilcox as head coach

The 40-year-old was officially named Cal’s head coach on Saturday, with the university announcing a five-year contract. Terms were not disclosed, but he is expected to earn between $1.5 – $2 million per season. Wilcox has never been a head coach, but he served as a defensive coordinator at five schools (Boise State, Tennessee, Washington, USC and Wisconsin).
