Coby White, Greenfield falls to Devon Dotson, Providence Day in Phenom Hoops Showcase

The two best point guards in the state of North Carolina's 2018 recruiting class squared off Saturday as Providence Day (Charlotte, NC) defeated Greenfield School (Wilson, NC) 65-57.

Greenfield point guard and Providence Day point guard both held offers from North Carolina, but it was White who committed to the Tar Heels first, effectively ending the UNC-Dotson recruitment.

If this dynamic motivated Dotson in any way, it showed in both the box score and the final result. Dotson also seemed to have a couple of words for White after this breakaway dunk. Dotson finished as the game's MVP with a stat line of 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. White's final tally was 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists on a subpar shooting night.
