North Carolina cancels basketball practice so players, coaches can vote

The North Carolina Tar Heels aren’t holding practice on Tuesday — Election Day — so that players and coaches can go vote. Point guard Joel Berry posted encouraging followers to get out and vote, as well, which the team shared. There’s been some controversy in North Carolina surrounding voter suppression, with restrictions on early voting. (Sports Illustrated)
