UNC beat Illinois 48-14 in Kenan Stadium last year but this Illinois team features mostly new starters, and former NFL coach Lovie Smith is now the head coach of the Fighting Illini. In the NFL, Smith was known as a defensive guru. There is little film on Smith coaching Illinois, prompting UNC coach Larry Fedora to look back into Smith's days as an NFL coach. (Carolina Blue)
