Averbuch gives Heels good shot


Go to www.youtube.com and search for "Yael Averbuch." A clip comes up of the North Carolina sophomore striking the fastest goal in NCAA history -- a 55-yard bomb from midfield that sailed into the net four seconds into a 4-0 win over Yale on Sept. 3. It's impressive -- but she can do better. Averbuch, a 5-foot-10 midfielder from Upper Montclair, N.J., can accurately kick up to 70 yards with her right foot. With her left, she can kick in the upper 60s. (Raleigh News & Observer)
