Tar Heel Women Emerge With Golden Goal Win Over FAU

Tar Heel freshman striker Zoe Redei scored the first golden goal of her career in the 103rd minute of play to lift the ninth-ranked UNC women’s soccer team to a wild 3-2 victory over Florida Atlantic Sunday at FAU Soccer Stadium. With the game tied at 1-1 and 2:01 to play in regulation, the match was delayed by weather for approximately 40 minutes.
