'Last Chance U' shows what comes after the Friday night lights

Sports stories are so attractive because, like sports themselves, there’s an identifiable goal. Reaching a goal means winning, a quantifiable return on all the sweat and pain it takes to achieve it....But, in Last Chance U, the new, six-episode documentary series from Netflix, the concept of goals is evocatively blurred by its focus on a unique environment where the usual drama is heightened even further.
