Many of Dean Smith's legions of fans are horrified at the thought of Bobby Knight breaking the former University of North Carolina coach's record for all-time victories in Division I men's basketball. The funny part is Smith is the one person who could care less. "Oh, gosh, I'm going to cry about that," Smith said, smiling. As he has always done, Smith remains true to his convictions. The game is about the athletes who play it, not the coach along the sideline. (Chapel Hill News)
