Hokies RB Travon McMillian must build on early success


The Roanoke Times, in its offseason countdown, lists running back Travon McMillian as Virginia Tech’s fourth most important player -- and for good reason. After McMillian took over the starting job last season, he was a force for the Hokies’ often-inconsistent offense, finishing the season with 1042 yards and appearing to secure his spot as one of the top young runners in the country.
