Dean Smith always seems to deflect praise directed his way. That's the kind of man he is. Hank Aaron rarely discusses his being underappreciated when it comes to consideration of baseball's all-time greats, even though he's had just cause during the last 30 years. That's the kind of man he is. The former North Carolina coach and Aaron are linked only in that their most notable accomplishments are about to be overcome.
