Pirates’ catcher Jacob Stallings records first big league hit

The Pittsburgh Pirates were on the wrong end of a blowout against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday evening. However, the club did manage to salvage one bright spot from the forgettable outing as catcher Jacob Stallings registered the first hit of his major league career. Coming on a RBI double in the seventh inning, the 26-year-old catcher finished the outing 1-for-4 with one strikeout.
