Andre Powell Released From Football Staff

Assistant coach Andre Powell was informed Tuesday afternoon that he would not be retained, a source close to the situation informed Inside Carolina and a a UNC spokesperson later confirmed. Powell, who's been on the UNC staff for six seasons, coached running backs and special teams in 2006. He is the sixth assistant to be let go by new head coach Butch Davis. (Inside Carolina)
