Hansbrough happy to be headed to home state
Posted Dec 22, 2006
When Charles Barkley entered the Basketball Hall of Fame, he made one request to the folks in his hometown of Leeds, Ala. His relatives traveled to Springfield, Mass., for the induction, so Barkley asked in a light-hearted manner that no one rob his mother's home while she was gone. Tyler Hansbrough hasn't offered a similar plea to the areas surrounding his hometown of Poplar Bluff, Mo., but maybe he should have. About 10 percent of Poplar Bluff's population won't be home tonight.
