Heels’ defense flusters Rutgers

Everybody knew the North Carolina men’s basketball team could score. Now it’s also showing that it can play a little defense, too. OK, so Rutgers was playing without two starters Thursday, including point guard Anthony Farmer. But even it would have had a difficult time scoring against a defense that limited the Scarlet Knights to 28.6 percent shooting in the first half and 18 turnovers overall in an 87-48 thrashing.
