No. 17 Diamond Heels Drop Series Opener To No. 5 Louisville

Brendan McKay and Zack Burdi combined to throw nine scoreless innings as No. 5 Louisville took game one from No. 17 North Carolina 6-0 Friday night at Boshamer Stadium. McKay added a pair of hits for the Cardinals, who improved to 37-9 and 15-7 in ACC play. Zac Gallen was stellar in a losing effort, allowing just two earned runs on six hits in 7.2 innings of work.
