They all smiled, not only because they'd won the game, but because of everything they'd overcome. A three-goal deficit. A second stick check. Playing short-handed at crucial moments in the game. A goal that had come after the horn should have sounded. Through it all, the Tar Heels had smiled. And then after Aly Messinger's shot was good, they smiled again.
