No. 13 Diamond Heels Drop Series Finale At Wake Forest, 3-2
Posted Apr 24, 2016
Stuart Fairchild's RBI double in the bottom of the ninth lifted Wake Forest to a 3-2 win over No. 13 North Carolina Sunday at Couch Ballpark. Carolina tied it in the eighth on Tyler Lynn's pinch-hit solo home run, but Fairchild's game-winner completed the Deacons' first sweep of the Tar Heels since 2001. A.J. Bogucki allowed just three hits over 4.2 innings of relief but took the loss.
