Early on, Quakers had Tar Heels in upsetting situation

Once upon an era, it was a tradition unlike many others. At some point in the first half, North Carolina coach Dean Smith would send in five guys from the bench as one. They became known affectionately as the blue team, and would usually stay on the floor for a couple of minutes. Their mission? Do whatever they could to have some kind of effect. More often than not, it worked.
