Fans swarm Franklin Street as UNC advances to NCAA championship game

Hundreds of UNC fans took to Franklin Street on Saturday night just after the Tar Heels secured a spot in the NCAA finals — solidly beating Syracuse, 83-66. UNC now takes on Villanova on Monday for the tournament crown. Tar Heels fans on Saturday night converged near Top of the Hill Restaurant at Columbia Street and Franklin Street, which is where most celebrations start.
