Adam Pate had three hits and drove in three runs as No. 6 UNC beat Elon 11-6 Wednesday night at Boshamer Stadium. Brandon Riley had two hits and drove in two for the Tar Heels, and Brett Daniels worked 2.2 innings for his first career win. Carolina has now scored at least 10 runs in eight of 16 games with an ACC series at Duke set to begin Friday.
