Ron Sherman's three-run homer was the big blow as Pittsburgh avoided its second straight sweep with a 5-0 win over No. 6 North Carolina Sunday at Boshamer Stadium. UNC saw its 11-game win streak snapped as Pitt's pitchers combined for a six-hit shutout. The Tar Heels open their first five-game week of the season Tuesday at East Carolina. (GoHeels.com)
