Virginia solidifying case for No. 1 seed with win over North Carolina

Virginia made sure North Carolina didn't get any closer to an ACC regular-season title -- and may have inched closer to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament -- with its 79-74 win on Saturday. The Tar Heels' loss moved them back into a tie for first place with Miami, which defeated Louisville 73-65 on Saturday. The Cavs and Cardinals are tied for third place, just one game behind.
