Stephanie Watts continues to be bright spot in UNC women's basketball's tough season
Posted Jan 19, 2016
This season hasn’t gone the way Coach Sylvia Hatchell planned, but the play of UNC freshman Stephanie Watts has surpassed all expectations. Although UNC (12-8, 2-3 ACC) fell short against No. 21 Miami on Sunday, Watts shined, tallying 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the 76-61 loss. “I think she’s the best freshman in the country,” Hatchell said.
