Clemson hires Andre' Powell as running backs coach

Andre' Powell, North Carolina’s running backs coach the previous six seasons, was hired Tuesday for the same job with the Tigers. He replaces Burton Burns, who resigned Jan. 15 to become Alabama’s running backs coach. A formal announcement might not be made for another week as Clemson completes the background searches and paperwork required by its hiring procedures. (The State)
