With thousands of red-clad students streaming to the court in the RBC Center, a team of arena security held hands and roped off an area around the 15 players and coaches. All the Tar Heels could do after the 83-79 upset loss was shake hands with the N.C. State coaching staff and one player, Engin Atsur, as N.C. State celebrated its first win in the rivalry series in four years.
