History tells us UNC vs. Duke will be 'as good as it gets'
Posted Feb 7, 2007
Remember the Tar Heels’ eight-point rally in the final 17 seconds at Carmichael Auditorium in 1974? How about Duke’s 77-75 win in the 1984 ACC Tournament, beating Michael Jordan’s team, which went 14-0 in league play that season, and signaling the start of the Mike Krzyzewski era in Durham? Who can forget the pre-shot-clock era 1979 game at Cameron, when Dean Smith held the ball, Duke led 7-0 at halftime.
