The 22nd-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team came up just short on Sunday, falling 79-77 to Oregon inside Carmichael Arena. Trailing by 10 with 6:45 left in regulation, North Carolina (0-2) twice got within a single point, and had two good looks from three-point range by Jamie Cherry in the final seconds of an entertaining game that featured 11 lead changes.
