A Day of Celebration: UNC honors past champions, romps past WFU 104-67

North Carolina honored two past national-championship teams yesterday by playing like a future one, routing Wake Forest 104-67 at the Smith Center. North Carolina played 11 minutes of nearly perfect basketball starting late in the first half to take total control and never let up. Wake Forest led 23-22 when the run started, but North Carolina surged ahead 66-37 by scoring on 19 of 22 possessions. (Winston-Salem Journal)
