UNC Returns to the Land of Ranked Football Teams

Before Duke lost to Miami, the two teams were headed for the first match-up of ranked teams in the rivalry since 1939. With Duke falling to Miami, UNC essentially grabbed the Blue Devils' spot in the poll. Pitt also dropped out. Per UNC, this is the latest the Tar Heels have been ranked in the poll since November 22, 2009 when the Tar Heels entered the Top 25 at #23 following a win at Boston College.
