Close games remain UNC's Achilles' heel

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Game after game, fourth-ranked North Carolina has proven it can win big. But after falling 81-80 to Virginia Tech in overtime Tuesday night, the Tar Heels still have yet to prove they can win close. The loss marked the fourth time in four defeats that UNC (22-4, 8-3 ACC) has closed to within a bucket in the final minutes, only to fail to prevail. (Raleigh News & Observer)
