Lawson found his drive during 1st loss to Hokies

Saturday, February 17, 2007

North Carolina's lowest moment of the season brought a revelation for Ty Lawson. The speedy freshman point guard was afraid to drive his high-octane game into traffic until the Tar Heels fell behind by 23 points in the second half at Virginia Tech. Until that day, Lawson was reluctant to look for his shot because he wanted to please coach Roy Williams and distribute the ball. (Charlotte Observer)
