Eagles Get Dose of Reality Courtesy of the Tar Heels

Sunday, February 18, 2007

Boston College and a capacity crowd of 8,606 at Conte Forum found out that guile, grit and good coaching can only keep a team atop the standings for so long. A vastly more talented North Carolina team outlasted the Eagles, 77-72, in a taut and exciting game. The victory put the Tar Heels (23-4, 9-3) in a first-place tie with Virginia in the conference standings. (New York Times)
