Athletes count on coaches, family for guidance

For years, King Rice heard whispers from back home. From what he saw and was told, high school basketball in the Binghamton area wasn't the same as when he played for the Patriots in the mid-1980s. Rice wanted to change that. This past summer, he hosted a basketball camp in Johnson City that he called an "incredible" success. He's considering holding a second camp this summer.
