Leigh Andrew and Hayley McCorkle had 10 kills apiece but No. 7 North Carolina dropped its season opener 3-1 to No. 22 USC Friday at the Galen Center. Samantha Bricio had match highs of 24 kills and 18 digs to lead USC, who avenged a four-set loss to the Tar Heels in last year's NCAA tournament. Jordyn Schnabl had a double-double with 22 assists and 11 digs for UNC
