Memphis says Austin Nichols is free to transfer without restrictions

Austin Nichols is now free to transfer anywhere he chooses. The University of Memphis announced as much Tuesday evening. "Memphis has reviewed the appeal submitted by Austin Nichols," read a statement from the school, "and has agreed to remove all conditions from his release." This decision came just a few hours after Nichols' attorney, Don Jackson, released a damning statement that threatened a lawsuit if Memphis didn't remove the restrictions. (CBS Sports)
