Back here in the early 1990s, Greg Ellis said a few of his buddies showed up at his house in Wendell with new shoes and pockets full of money. They encouraged him to skip classes that day at East Wake High School and roll with them. Ellis went to school. Those guys later went to prison. “I do not remember why I didn’t go with them. But I just didn’t go. And you talk about a fork in the road, brother."
