North Carolina (5th): National runners-up in women’s lacrosse and third-place in field hockey, the Tar Heels have never finished below 17th in the Directors’ Cup. But for all their competitive success, the omnipresent story is the academic fraud scandal. UNC won ACC titles in women’s cross country and volleyball.
