Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan to retire after next season

Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan seriously considered retiring after his team's national championship game appearance in April. But after conversations with athletic director Barry Alvarez, he decided to take some time and think it over. "I have done that," Ryan said in a statement released Monday. "I considered retiring this summer or coaching one more season. I've decided to coach one more season with the hope that my longtime assistant Greg Gard eventually becomes the head coach at Wisconsin."
