Ed Davis opts out of his contract with the Lakers
Posted Jun 26, 2015
Forward/center Ed Davis has opted out of his contract with the Lakers, according to a person with access to the league's daily transactions. Davis, who signed a two-year, $2.1-million minimum contract with the Lakers last season, will become an unrestricted free agent after playing just one year with the team. The move is not a surprise. In April, Davis told The Times, "I'm going to test free agency."
