He shot on the barn out back. Big red barn. You can't miss it. The rim on the barn? The old man couldn't miss that. He hammered the rim to the barn, went out there in overalls and shot until his arms got tired. What was the backboard? Maybe you're not paying attention. The barn was the backboard. That was his childhood basketball goal: Barn. Rim. No net. Henry Mohr didn't want his kids shooting on a barn.
