Blue Devils' Laettner: 'I was acting like a maniac a little bit'
Posted Mar 7, 2007
Duke star Christian Laettner doesn't recall the details, just his feelings as he left the court at the Charlotte Coliseum on March 10, 1991, after a loss to archrival UNC in the ACC tournament finale. "I just remember being really mad because I thought we were better than them," he said. Yeah, not so much on that day. The No. 7 Tar Heels won in a blowout, 96-74, against the No. 6 Blue Devils. And Laettner didn't take it well.
