Famous shot in '94 puts UNC's Charlotte Smith in Hall of Fame


Way before Paul Pierce supposedly called game the other evening when his shot got the Washington Wizards past the Atlanta Hawks, in 1994 knocked down a 3-pointer at the buzzer that gave her North Carolina squad a 60-59 win over Louisiana Tech in Richmond Coliseum and UNC's first national championships in women’s basketball. “I called all net,” Smith said Thursday.
