Shayla Bennett Commits to North Carolina Women's Basketball

Christ Church (Greenville, SC) junior Shayla Bennett, who led the Cavaliers to the Class A state championship in March, has committed to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina. Bennett announced her decision at the school Tuesday in front of a large gathering of family members and fellow students. Bennett chose the Tar Heels over Florida and Wake Forest. This past season, The 5-foot-11 Bennett led the Cavaliers to a 27-2 record and was chosen Class A and Greenville County Player of the Year.
