Yankees closer Andrew Miller takes the subway to Yankee Stadium
Posted May 1, 2015
This past offseason the Yankees spent big on a top free agent reliever, but rather than re-sign incumbent closer David Robertson, they signed Andrew Miller to a four-year, $36 million contract. They saved $10 million and gained a draft pick by replacing Miller with Robertson. Miller has been stellar in pinstripes, going 8-for-8 in save chances with 20 strikeouts in only 11 1/3 innings so far this year.
